The simplest and best way to offset the effects of inflation is to have a Gold Reserve Fund. I will initiate a change in the law to allow the state reserve fund to invest in gold. This will make it possible for our investments to increase in worth even if the dollar decreases in value.

Some large companies and foreign governments have already purchased huge amounts of gold in recent months. In today’s financial environment, there is potential for substantial gains.

Of course, I understand that gold will go up and down in value, but as a hedge against inflation, it’s a smart long-term investment.
